Our Insurance & Risk team, based at our head office in Ashby de la Zouch, provides end‑to‑end support to our UK & Ireland business on all insurance related matters, including claims, new contracts and general queries. As a valued team member is due to commence a 12‑month period of maternity leave, we are looking for a Claims & Insurance Handler to join the team on a fixed‑term basis. In this role, you will take ownership of all insurance claims, support day‑to‑day insurance administration, and provide general support to the UKI business.

This role will be Monday – Friday on a part time basis, 20 hours per week.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As the Claims and Insurance Handler you will take ownership of the companies’ motor, employers’ liability, property damage and public liability insurance claims, managing the process from point of contact to settlement. Alongside this you will handle the claims recovery process from sub‑contractors and 3rd parties to retrieve monies owed.

You will provide insurance advice and support to the business and help to manage the central shared insurance mailbox, monitor driver alerts via data retrieved from vehicle on‑board cameras in order to work with the business on reducing motor claims, as well as looking for improvements across other areas within the business in relation to insurance, risk and claim mitigation.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application, you will ideally bring strong administrative skills, excellent organisation and attention to detail, and the confidence to communicate clearly with people across the business. While any prior experience with claims would be beneficial, it’s not essential, we can fully support you in learning the claims process. What matters most is your ability to manage information accurately, work efficiently, and approach new tasks with curiosity and enthusiasm.

This is a hybrid role, with time split between home and our head office in Ashby.
