Pay: £13.45 – £14.15 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Hours: 35 per week, 8 am–4 pm Monday to Sunday (some weekends required).

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Home Activities Lead to join our team at Willows Care Home in Milton Keynes. As part of a compassionate and welcoming team, you will provide physical, emotional and social support to residents of all ages.

Excelcare is a family‑owned care home group with over 34 years of experience. We provide the highest standards of care to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disability and mental health issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Create and organise meaningful and engaging activities and lifestyle programmes throughout the home to enrich residents’ lives.
  • Collaborate with teams, family members and residents to establish an understanding of activities and lifestyle changes that would benefit individuals or groups.
  • Coordinate with local community organisations, schools, colleges, churches and other external partners to provide a wide range of activities.
  • Plan day‑out activities and utilise knowledge of surrounding areas and external organisations.
  • Offer choice and empower residents to create an enjoyable and social environment, ensuring that individual outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience within a similar role is desirable; previous experience in a caring environment is also acceptable.
  • Organised and well‑planned with a caring nature and passion for the role.
  • Confident, enthusiastic and having a fun, can‑do attitude.
  • A genuine desire to improve the lives of older people.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
