Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of IT Operations, this role will ensure a high level of user satisfaction by providing first‑line IT support, resolving routine issues, and managing service desk tickets. The role will be responsible for monitoring service performance, escalating complex issues to the Senior Systems Specialist, and supporting service delivery improvements. It will also involve assisting with onboarding new users, including account setup, hardware build and configuration, and IT induction training.
Key tasks include troubleshooting common hardware (desktops, laptops, printers), software (Microsoft 365), and network connectivity issues (Wi‑Fi and wired connections). Apart from handling routine maintenance and system checks, the role requires monitoring service performance, contributing to SLA reporting, and supporting database upkeep and user onboarding. A commitment to learning, sharing knowledge, and embracing change is essential; the successful candidate will stay up to date with emerging technologies and act as a subject‑matter expert in key areas.
Qualifications and Experience
Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and the ability to manage service desk tickets effectively. Demonstrated customer‑service skills and a proactive, user‑focused approach are required. A commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing is essential.
