About the Role:
We are offering a staffing-only care package supporting a 21-year-old male client with quadriplegic dyskinetic cerebral palsy (very limited control of his arms and legs). Most care will be shared between family members and agency staff, with a particular need for weekend coverage, so you’ll join a supportive, well-equipped team.
About the client:
- 21-year-old male with quadriplegic dyskinetic cerebral palsy
- No active mobility; requires hoisting for all transfers using a track hoist
- Specialist equipment to support posture for sitting, toileting, and bathing
- Works on standing transfers in therapy sessions (not required in daily care)
- Needs support with oral meals due to muscle control difficulties
Responsibilities:
- Supporting with all transfers via hoist
- Assisting with daily care routines in a calm, patient, and positive way
- Working alongside family and agency staff to provide a consistent, high-quality care environment
- Ensuring client comfort, dignity, and safety always
Requirements:
- Experience with moving and handling, including hoisting
- Calm, patient, and team-oriented approach
- Flexible and reliable, happy to cover shifts that may include weekends
- 12-hour or 24-hour shifts at £22 per hour (LTD/ Umbrella)
- Flexibility is key – family and agency staff cover many shifts, offering variety and support
Hours & Pay:
- 12-hour or 24-hour shifts at £22 per hour (LTD/ Umbrella)
- £100/night (sleep-in)
