About the Role

We are looking for support workers who can be patient, build confidence and independence, be fun and have a caring, enthusiastic and self‑motivated attitude.
This bank opportunity is based in Brightons, near Polmont, Falkirk.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a young lady with a mild learning disability and PTSD to live independently in her own home, following a tailored care and support plan.
- Provide accompaniment and supervision during community activities, daily drives, walks and local recreation such as swimming and cinema.
- Assist with healthy eating, varied diet and animal care, ensuring daily routines are upheld.
- Maintain a close relationship with family, ensuring communication and collaboration on care strategies.
- Use trauma‑informed care, PTSD awareness and skin integrity knowledge in all support activities.
- Work in a small team with shift patterns starting at 10am and ending at 10am the following day; sleepover shift 11pm‑7am.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience supporting people with complex needs – essential for this new team role.
- SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care desired.
- Preferred if you have a mobile vehicle; a driver’s licence is preferred.
- Female applicant required – a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
