Job Overview
In this role, you will be a part of three dynamic Duty and Assessment social work teams, delivering a high-quality service to the children and their families of Telford and Wrekin through case managing Child in Need, Child Protection and initial PLO planning.
Our Duty and Assessment Service has excellent partnership relationships that we continue to build upon as well as building our links with community-based resources. We work closely with our Strengthening Families Service and a range of Targeted Services in the borough.
You will work collaboratively with our families, partners and colleagues within the Long-Term teams, bringing together and coordinating the team around the child to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to safeguarding, as well as Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Review.
Here in Telford and Wrekin, we have implemented a new approach to Child Protection services developed by Hertfordshire County Council, delivering the Family Safeguarding model.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a high‑quality service to children and their families of Telford and Wrekin through case managing Child in Need, Child Protection and initial PLO planning.
- Work collaboratively with families, partners, colleagues and community-based resources, strengthening partnership relationships.
- Coordinate the team around the child, ensuring a multi‑disciplinary approach to safeguarding, assessment, planning, implementation and review.
- Apply the Family Safeguarding model developed by Hertfordshire County Council.

Additional Information
