We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and well‑motivated individual to join our Lymphoedema Service as a Therapy Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care and supporting individuals to manage their long‑term condition effectively.

As a key member of the team, you will work under the guidance of qualified lymphoedema practitioners to assist in delivering high‑quality care. Your role will involve supporting patients during their treatment sessions, providing practical help with compression garments and bandaging, and offering reassurance and advice to promote self‑management.

You will also play an important part in maintaining the smooth and efficient running of the department. This includes preparing treatment areas, managing stock and equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient information. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

This role offers the chance to develop skills in a specialist area of care and make a real difference to patients living with lymphoedema.

Main duties of the job

This post will be based in the lymphoedema clinic at Cradiff Royal Infirmary. The post holder will work as part of a large team of nurses, physiotherapists and support workers providing therapy to patients suffering from lymphoedema both in the clinic and within the community. The role will involve both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure that the department runs as efficiently as possible.
