Primary School ARP Teaching Assistant – Lambeth (SW2)

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Lambeth (SW2). This role will be based within an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to support children with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and other complex needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide tailored support, helping pupils access learning and develop key social and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Assist with behaviour management strategies
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
Requirements
- Experience working with children with SEN is desirable
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
