Overview

Join Mencap as a Part-Time Female Support Worker in Retford. This role focuses on supporting people with learning disabilities to live their best, happiest, most empowered lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting people with a wide range of abilities
  • Encouraging independence through daily activities
  • Bringing emotional support, joy, and kindness
  • Helping break down barriers so people can shine
  • Driver preferred, but it’s not essential

  • A flexible approach to shifts (evenings, weekends & holidays included)
  • A positive, empathetic attitude and a genuine passion for helping others

You don’t need specific experience—we’ll give you all the training you need. What matters most is you.

Hours & Shifts

We offer part-time hours (based on your availability). Plus full-time positions if preferred. All services run 24/7, but rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan your life with confidence.

Day shift times: Between 07:00–22:00

Due to the nature of this service, we can only accept female applicants under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1).
