Job Overview

The Radiology Directorate within ABUHB is looking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals for the Administrative and Clerical team. Two posts are available: 37.5 hours and 22.5 hours. The successful candidates will be an integral member of the Radiology Booking Service at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny. They will manage day‑to‑day booking and maintenance of outpatient appointments for Radiology across the Health Board, ensuring a positive and professional experience for service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all patient appointments in accordance with internal and national targets.
  • Handle inbound call‑centre workflow.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and team leaders to maximise clinic capacity and minimise cancellations.
  • Book all procedure appointments in a timely fashion using list capacity across Radiology in ABUHB.
  • Liaise with radiology referral and booking managers to keep waiting times minimal.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly telephone manner at all times.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • GCSE or equivalent, or good level of education; Welsh language speaker.

Desirable:

  • Experience in patient-focused or partial booking and Radiology.

Experience

Essential:

  • Administration and customer service experience.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Radiology.
