Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing first‑line HR advice to directors, managers and employees, offering clear, confident guidance on all matters
- Coaching and guiding managers to ensure consistent, fair and legally compliant decision‑making
- Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Contributing to HR projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activities to strengthen engagement, capability and culture
- Championing a positive working environment by embedding organisational values into everyday behaviours, interactions and decisions
- Supporting payroll and staff benefit administration
- Supporting end‑to‑end recruitment activity, including advising managers, drafting job adverts, shortlisting and ensuring a fair and inclusive selection process
- Scanning for emerging risks, trends, changes in legislation and HR best practice
- Identifying and delivering HR training for managers and employees on topics such as people management, employment law, probation and supervision reviews
- Contributing to the development of learning materials and supporting ongoing development initiatives
What You’ll Bring
- CIPD level 5 or 7 qualified with solid advisory experience in the legal industry or another professional service industry
- A people‑centred mindset, balancing empathy with consistency and professionalism
- The confidence to build credible, respectful relationships at all levels
- Sound judgement, discretion and a natural sense of fairness
- A genuine passion for people and doing the right thing
- A genuine commitment to continuous improvement and a positive workplace culture
- Emotional intelligence and self‑awareness, especially in challenging or complex situations
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to analyse situations, ask the right questions and offer balanced, well‑reasoned advice
- Experience of working in the legal sector or professional services in a similar role
