We are working on a number of exciting opportunities for Construction Solicitors to join highly regarded London-based teams, with roles spanning both contentious and non-contentious construction work.
These roles offer a relatively unique opportunity for ambitious construction lawyers to develop a broad practice across construction, projects and real estate development matters, advising a range of clients primarily on the employer/developer side.
The successful candidates will work on a varied mix of high-quality matters, including:
- Standard form construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, MF/1, IChemE
- Development agreements, process plant and associated project documentation
- Complex defect and M&E system claims
- Building Safety Act 2022 claims, including defective design, workmanship, delay, remediation and cladding disputes
- Delay and professional negligence claims
- Adjudications, litigation and alternative dispute resolution
- Drafting pleadings, expert instructions and settlement documentation
- Coordinating with technical experts, consultants and counsel
- Risk management and dispute strategy
- Business development across the real estate and construction market
Candidate Requirements:
- 2–8 years’ PQE gained within a reputable construction practice
- Experience in contentious and/or non-contentious construction matters
- Working knowledge of JCT, NEC, FIDIC, MF/1, IChemE forms of contract
- Experience acting for employers, developers, contractors or supply-side clients
- Excellent drafting, analytical and client management skills
- Commercial, proactive and collaborative approach
- Interest in developing a broad construction and projects practice
