We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a nurturing and forward-thinking school in the Maidstone area, seeking an exceptional SEN specialist to join their team.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a highly supportive environment where every child is valued, individuality is celebrated, and progress—no matter how small—is recognised and championed.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver tailored, engaging lessons to students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that enables every learner to thrive
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans (EHCPs) to support individual student progress
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external agencies
  • Use creative and adaptive teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Track, assess, and celebrate student progress in both academic and personal development

The School Offers

  • A welcoming, child-centred ethos with a strong focus on wellbeing and inclusion
  • Small class sizes and excellent support staff ratios
  • A highly experienced and collaborative SEN team
  • Ongoing professional development, including specialist SEN training
  • Clear progression pathways within a growing and ambitious school
  • A leadership team that genuinely prioritises staff support and work-life balance

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (school-based or specialist setting)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to helping every child succeed
  • Experience with EHCPs and differentiated planning (desirable but not essential)

Why Apply?
