Project Management Higher Skills Apprentice – SP Energy Networks

Duration: 2 Years

Location: North West England & Mid Wales

Start Date: 31/08/2026

Salary & Benefits: The apprenticeship pays £25,950 per annum, includes a competitive pension with a double match up to 10 % and a range of flexible benefits. On completion you will move into a permanent post with a starting salary of £37,560.

Qualifications: Two A levels at A‑C (or equivalent) plus three GCSEs at grades 4–9 including English, Maths and a Science. Driving licence (or working towards it).

Course: Diploma in Project Management.

What you’ll be doing

As a Project Management Apprentice you will work on a range of exciting business and engineering projects and make a real‑world difference. You will develop national infrastructure projects that align with our environmental goals, manage projects across business, IT and engineering streams such as infrastructure investments and customer connections, collaborate with stakeholders including engineers, contracts managers, suppliers, government agencies and local communities, keep projects on track, monitor documentation, progress and financial records and provide regular updates to stakeholders and management. You will also develop commercial skills, explore solutions that reduce carbon footprints and promote renewable energy, and receive continuous training on Net Zero best practices.
