Security lead, based in London, 45 hours per week (may vary depending on business needs)

We are supporting a high-profile and prestigious organisation in Central London in the appointment of an experienced Security Manager.

This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role responsible for delivering a professional, controlled, and secure environment within this unique location with a heritage and history!

The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Security Manager will take full ownership of day‑to‑day security operations, ensuring robust procedures, strong team performance, and consistent operational standards.

This is a high‑visibility position, requiring a confident and composed individual who can lead from the front while maintaining a strong focus on service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Security Officers, including training, performance management, and rota planning
  • Oversee all security operations, ensuring procedures and protocols are consistently implemented
  • Monitor and manage CCTV, access control systems, and alarm responses
  • Take ownership of incident management, investigations, and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is compliant and up to date
  • Ensure a proactive and visible security presence across the site
  • Manage access control for visitors, contractors, and events
  • Support operational teams in delivering a seamless and secure environment
  • Maintain and regularly review business continuity and emergency response procedures
  • Support the organisation’s Health & Safety compliance, including maintaining standards, monitoring practices, and coordinating basic H&S processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a Security Manager or senior supervisory role within a high‑end, corporate, or high‑profile environment
  • Armed Forces or similar service background highly desirable
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage teams
  • Excellent judgement and decision‑making capability in dynamic environments
  • Professional, discreet, and highly presentable at all times
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders
  • Experience managing security systems including CCTV and access control
  • Structured, disciplined, and detail‑oriented approach
