Role Description
As a Business Development Partner, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing commercial opportunities for Innovant Healthcare. You will introduce our products and services to relevant healthcare providers, procurement teams, distributors, and industry contacts, with a focus on generating qualified leads, arranging meetings, building relationships with key decision‑makers, and supporting opportunities through to order placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business across NHS trusts, private hospitals, clinics, suppliers, distributors, and other relevant organisations.
- Build strong relationships with procurement teams, clinical stakeholders, purchasing managers, and distributor contacts.
- Arrange and attend client meetings, both remotely and in person where required.
- Present our product range, manufacturing capabilities, and supply advantages to potential customers.
- Understand customer requirements and work with Innovant Healthcare to provide suitable product solutions, samples, pricing, and proposals.
- Support the conversion of leads into active customers and repeat business.
- Develop opportunities across surgical instruments, dental instruments, medical instruments, private label supply, and custom manufacturing.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and relevant trade meetings where appropriate.
- Maintain regular communication with the Innovant Healthcare team regarding prospects, customer feedback, and market developments.
- Keep accurate records of leads, conversations, meetings, and sales progress.
- Support long‑term account development by identifying further opportunities within existing and new customer relationships.

Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, or commercial representation.
- Experience within healthcare, medical devices, surgical instruments, dental, NHS procurement, hospital supply, or distributor sales is strongly preferred.
- Existing relationships with NHS trusts, private hospitals, clinics, healthcare suppliers, distributors, or procurement teams would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication, relationship‑building, and negotiation skills.
- Self‑motivated, commercially minded, and comfortable working independently.
- Confident in approaching new prospects and developing opportunities from the ground up.
- Good organisational skills and ability to maintain clear records of activity and progress.
- Understanding of NHS procurement or healthcare purchasing processes would be advantageous.
This is a self‑employed, commission‑only role. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own tax, insurance, expenses, and statutory obligations. This is not an employed position, and no fixed salary, holiday pay, pension contribution, or employment benefits are provided.
