A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a Valuation Surveyor to join a highly respected specialist advisory business operating at the forefront of the retail and leisure property market.
This role offers exposure to a diverse range of trading assets and going-concern valuations, with genuine autonomy, strong client interaction, and clear progression opportunities within a collaborative national team.
The Role
You will provide valuation advice across the retail and leisure sectors, with a particular focus on:
- Convenience retail and roadside assets (including petrol filling stations)
- Garden centres and other trading properties
- Assets valued with regard to trading performance and potential
You’ll work alongside experienced sector specialists, building trusted relationships with lenders, investors, accountants, and operators, while playing a key role in business development and client delivery.
You’ll be part of a busy national team of specialist surveyors and agents, benefiting from strong brand recognition, market credibility, and an established client base. While reporting into senior leadership, the role offers a high level of autonomy, allowing you to build your own profile as a trusted advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering valuations in line with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors standards and internal compliance requirements
- Surveying and valuing properties and trading businesses
- Preparing clear, robust, and detailed valuation reports
- Managing and responding to client instructions efficiently
- Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
- Developing your own professional network across key industry contacts
- Generating new instructions through proactive marketing and networking
- Maintaining awareness of market trends and sector activity
- Working to agreed targets and contributing to wider team success
- Accurately maintaining CRM systems and project records
- Collaborating across group services to identify cross-selling opportunities
About You
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS)
- Experience applying appropriate valuation methodologies
- Strong report-writing capability
- Exposure to retail, leisure, or trading asset valuations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and analytical ability
