Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker – Huddersfield Satellite Haemodialysis Unit (Huddersfield Royal Infirmary)
Job Overview
Provide out‑patient haemodialysis to 84 patients, 6 days a week, as part of an adult haemodialysis unit. The role supports the multidisciplinary team and includes direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate direct and indirect care for haemodialysis patients.
- Plan, implement, deliver and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Take appropriate actions and act on own initiative to achieve planned outcomes.
- Assist in the overall implementation and evaluation of care as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a safe and effective care environment.
- Practice in accordance with Trust policies, guidelines, standards and statutory requirements within defined competency boundaries.
- Wear personal protective equipment as appropriate to the clinical situation, including face masks for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience as a senior clinical support worker (band 3) in an adult haemodialysis setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of nephrology and dialysis procedures (preferred).
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Experience
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar clinical support role.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
