Job Title

Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker – Huddersfield Satellite Haemodialysis Unit (Huddersfield Royal Infirmary)

Job Overview

Provide out‑patient haemodialysis to 84 patients, 6 days a week, as part of an adult haemodialysis unit. The role supports the multidisciplinary team and includes direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate direct and indirect care for haemodialysis patients.
  • Plan, implement, deliver and maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Take appropriate actions and act on own initiative to achieve planned outcomes.
  • Assist in the overall implementation and evaluation of care as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain a safe and effective care environment.
  • Practice in accordance with Trust policies, guidelines, standards and statutory requirements within defined competency boundaries.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as appropriate to the clinical situation, including face masks for extended periods.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience as a senior clinical support worker (band 3) in an adult haemodialysis setting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of nephrology and dialysis procedures (preferred).
  • Good communication and organisational skills.

Experience

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar clinical support role.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
