Leisure Assistant & Personal Trainer – Eastwood Hall, Nottingham | Full-Time / Permanent

Leisure Assistant & Personal Trainer – The Role

  • Assist with the smooth running of the club and day‑to‑day departmental duties.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness standards throughout the club to ensure a welcoming environment for all members and guests.
  • Uphold all Health & Safety policies, ensuring the safety of both members and staff.
  • Identify and maximise sales opportunities wherever possible.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create positive experiences for every member and guest.
  • Conduct gym inductions for new and existing members (where qualified) and support them in achieving their fitness goals.
  • Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required to stay up‑to‑date and improve skills.
  • Present yourself in a smart, professional manner consistent with our quality standards.
  • Comply with all health and safety legislation, including:
    • Accident reporting procedures
    • Maintenance fault reporting procedures
    • Fire safety policies relevant to your department
  • Understand how Eastwood Hall’s health and safety policies relate to your role and the wider venue operations.
  • Be a collaborative and supportive team member, promoting the positive image of Eastwood Hall and the wider company.
  • Follow reasonable requests from management and the Head of Department.
  • Conduct member fitness assessments and design tailored training programs.
  • Deliver personal training sessions, run group classes, and motivate members to achieve their fitness goals.

What we’re looking for

Skills & Qualifications

  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer certifications (in‑house qualifications also available).
  • High level of fitness and a passion for health and wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Competent in IT and booking systems.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a fitness or leisure environment is advantageous but not essential.

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional at all times.
  • Proactive, flexible, and motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to use initiative.
