It’s an exciting time to be joining Ogilvy Consulting. We’re growing and we’re looking for a Consulting Analyst to join a team of consultants drawn from a diverse range of experience, skillset and passion. Consulting Analysts tend to have one to three years of experience in consulting or client-side strategy roles, or have recently earned a relevant Masters degree. They are self-starters and bring a curiosity and passion to everything they do, as well as a unique blend of creative thinking, strategic depth, and analytical skills. Most of all, they have decided that while consulting is a path they want to pursue, they want to do it in a place that brings business, marketing and brand transformation together with creativity and execution.

About the Role

The Consulting Analyst role begins as a generalist, working across diverse projects in Marketing Transformation, Brand & Marketing Strategy, Business Transformation, Sustainability and Behavioural Science. Over your time as a Consulting Analyst, you will develop foundational consulting skills through project delivery and exposure to client teams, and gain a range of experience to enable you to begin thinking about where you will specialise as you evolve and advance through your career. Our new team member will work across our capabilities, projects and clients, from Mondelez, Nestle and Unilever to EY, F1 and HSBC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, analyse industry and competitor trends; capture key insights and develop insightful hypotheses to frame problems and identify creative solutions through a combination of:
  • Designing, conducting and analysing quantitative and qualitative market research
  • Participating in data gathering interviews and capturing the key points.
  • Performing quantitative analyses, such as market sizing, competitor benchmarking, and impact assessment
  • Engaging with and learning to apply AI tools, contributing to the development of agents on the WPP OpenAI platform
  • Supporting the development of business and brand growth strategies and solutions
  • Taking ownership of client deliverables and presentations with a strong visual clarity and strategic rigour
  • Developing the flow, content and participating in client workshops
  • Participating in growth conversations, and contributing to and managing new business proposals and pitches with existing and prospective clients
  • Contributing to thought leadership
  • Representing and maintaining the Ogilvy Consulting standard of excellence through a combination of ‘intelligence and imagination’
  • Actively contributing to the unique culture of Ogilvy Consulting and monthly team meetings, and encouraging collaboration across Ogilvy and WPP

Skills and Attributes

  • 1-3 years of experience in a consultancy, client strategy position or equivalent strategic role in professional services specialising in brand or business transformation, psychology or behavioural science
  • Proficient with Excel (incl. pivot tables), strong grasp of data and demonstrated ability to perform robust quantitative analysis from current role or education. May include experience in areas such as market sizing, competitor benchmarking, impact assessment, and/or analysis using datasets such as TGI or GWI.
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as descriptive and exploratory analysis, simple statistical methods, and proficiency with Power BI would be valuable but is not essential.
  • A fascination with understanding people and working with them internally and externally to solve problems creatively
  • Adept at framing problems, developing solution hypotheses, and identifying creative paths to growth
  • Ability to draw critical human and cultural insights from data and observation
  • Strong business, marketing and brand acumen and critical thinking skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A pragmatic approach, looking for solutions, simplifying complex issues and aiming for practical outcomes
  • Ability to take initiative and to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, especially in high-pressure situations
  • Strong work ethic with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, Keynote a plus
  • A strong eagerness to learn and use AI-powered tools and platforms
  • A curiosity and energy that allows you to adopt a can‑do attitude to every challenge and initiative
