Location: London
Job Description:

If you are a highly organised, proactive administrator who enjoys being the central point of coordination in a busy operational environment this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in keeping one of London’s most creative and dynamic campuses running smoothly.

As Building Operations Administrator, you will be based at Central Saint Martins and be a key member of the Building Operations and Events Team. The Building Operations team work alongside the Estates team to ensure Central Saint Martins is ‘building ready’ at key points throughout the year.

Working closely with the Building Operations, Events, Infrastructure and Estates teams, you’ll coordinate day-to-day operational requests, manage shared inboxes and trackers, monitor building issues and maintenance updates, and help ensure staff, students, and visitors have a positive experience across the campus. No two days will be the same — from supporting large-scale events and summer works projects to helping resolve operational challenges behind the scenes.

You’ll be at the centre of activity, helping different teams stay connected, tracking projects and requests through to completion, and supporting practical operational improvements across the college. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in operations, events, facilities, or estates, within a creative higher education environment.

About you

We’re looking for someone with strong administrative and organisational experience, ideally gained in a busy operational, facilities, events, education, hospitality, or customer-focused environment. You’ll be confident managing multiple requests at once, maintaining accurate trackers and spreadsheets, and coordinating tasks across different teams. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll regularly liaise with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders across the college to ensure issues are logged, updated, and resolved efficiently.

You’ll also bring a proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to prioritise workloads, use initiative, and stay calm in a fast-moving environment. A positive, collaborative attitude is key, alongside a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and working inclusively with a wide range of people. This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys being organised, detail-oriented, and at the heart of day-to-day operations within a creative and collaborative setting.
