Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Biology curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The role entails fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and a passion for exploring the natural world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver captivating Biology lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school’s educational ethos.
• Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
• Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Biology education.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology or a closely related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Biology at the secondary level.
