Our client is seeking an EXPERIENCED PSV/HGV mechanic based in York.

The role is full‑time (minimum 40 hours per week). Working hours may be flexible to suit the needs of the individual.

Based in a modern, well‑equipped workshop in York, the successful applicant will be an experienced commercial vehicle technician with a proven track record of maintaining and repairing vehicles to DVSA MOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance including fault finding and rectification.
• Perform planned maintenance inspections and produce accurate reports on vehicle condition.
• Work consistently and safely to a high standard of Health & Safety.
• Adapt to a variety of tasks in the day‑to‑day operations of a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in PSV vehicle maintenance.
• Team player, willing to work alongside a successful team.
• Good attention to detail, aiming to work to the very highest standards.
• Flexible and able to adapt to a variety of tasks.
• Ability to work consistently and safely to a high standard of Health & Safety.
• PSV driving licence (advantage).
• Experience with PSV vehicles (advantage).
• NVQ/IRTEC accreditations (advantage).
