Contractor required – This role is Inside IR35
My client has a vacancy within their Manufacturing Department for a CNC Milling Setter/Operator. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience. Only suitably qualified contractor’s who can hit the ground running with experience of setting and operating Heidenhain CNC 3/4 axis milling machines within a high precision low volume environment will be considered. This is fine tolerance work.
You will be required to work Day’s/Lates on a rotating shift pattern.
Shift Pattern
Days Shift: 07.00 – 16.00 Monday to Thursday, and 07.00 – 12.00 on Fridays.
Lates Shift: Monday 15:00 – 01:00Tuesday to Thursday 15:00 – 00.30Friday Off
You will be entitled to two breaks Monday to Thursday, one 10-minute unpaid break and one 20-minute unpaid break.
Role Accountabilities
- Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
- Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Editing programmes.
- Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.
