Pastoral and Well Being Support Assistant Grade 2

Westacre Middle School – September 2026. Salary: TA2 £22,017–£22,366 per annum. Hours: 36 hours 15 minutes per week (term time only, plus TED days) – 8:15 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent term‑time only, plus TED days.

Responsibilities

• Work with children on a one‑to‑one basis or in small or large groups, acting as a listener, facilitator for learning, motivator and role model.
• Support vulnerable and challenging children on a 1‑to‑1 or small group basis as part of class provision.
• Collaborate with teachers to support classroom learning.
• Prepare and deliver bespoke intervention programmes to support a child’s wellbeing.
• Promote energy and passion about young children and their families.
• Display interpersonal skills and warmth to build strong and supportive relationships with children, families, team and community.
• Share personal learning and inspire learning in others.
• Be a flexible and excellent team player.
