Prospero Teaching is recruiting Pastoral Support Workers to join Primary, Secondary and SEN schools across Dorset.

These roles are ideal for individuals with experience in youth work, mentoring, safeguarding, behaviour support or those looking to move into pastoral or wellbeing roles within education.

The Role

Providing emotional, social and behavioural support to pupilsWorking 1:1 and with small groups to build confidence and resilienceSupporting attendance, wellbeing and engagement in learningDe-escalating challenging situations and promoting positive behaviourWorking closely with teaching staff, SEN teams and parentsHelping create a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment

Who We’re Looking For

Experience in pastoral care, mentoring, youth work or similar rolesCalm, empathetic and able to build strong relationshipsConfident supporting pupils with varied needsGood communication and problem‑solving skillsDBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
