The Role

The position is a Tax Senior on the Private Client Team, delivering tax advisory projects to clients with a focus on the North East Market. The role is based at the Leeds city centre office.

  • Obtain and manage client information for tax advisory projects; communicate with other service lines and keep them updated on project progress.
  • Assist the team with advice on Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, income tax planning, business restructuring, estates and trusts, and stamp duty land tax where appropriate.
  • Support clients with ongoing compliance needs and identify advisory opportunities from the compliance portfolio.
  • Assist senior tax staff with ad‑hoc queries from the wider business.
  • Keep current with tax legislation, highlight potential issues to the Senior Tax Manager, Tax Director or Tax Partner.
  • Onboard new clients and draft risk management documentation for all matters.

The Candidate

  • AAT/ATT qualification (minimum).
  • Full UK Driving Licence (desirable).
  • Practical knowledge of Private Client Tax.
  • Experience dealing directly with clients and delivering outstanding service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of liaising with clients and other service lines.
