Delivery Driver 3.5T

Salary: £26,695 + Bonus

Overview

We are Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group – a specialist trade merchant across the UK and Ireland. Permanent position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30; no weekend work required except during stocktake season.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T van with a tail lift to deliver large and heavy plumbing and heating supplies mainly within the CT postcode area.
• Carry out deliveries to customers including building/construction sites, social housing and members of the public.
• Load and unload deliveries, handling heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.
• Assist in the warehouse with unloading stock, picking and packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.
• Carry out vehicle checks.
• Potentially serve customers at the trade counter.

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous multidrop delivery and experience driving a 3.5T van.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player willing to assist in the warehouse to ensure smooth running of the branch.
