No seed oils. No added sugar sodas. Just honest, wholesome food made fresh every day, from dips and dressings with avocado and extra‑virgin olive oil, to sourdough bagels and toast.
We are opening our flagship restaurant in the West End of London and looking for an inspiring, hands‑on Restaurant Manager to lead the team and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Operations & Financial Leadership
- Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, cost control, payroll, inventory and sales analysis
- Ensure smooth day‑to‑day running of the restaurant: service execution, health & safety compliance, food safety, cleanliness, and robust operational systems
- Drive consistency across product quality and service standards
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of around 20 (Kitchen + FOH)
- Lead by example on the floor – inspiring high standards of hospitality, care, and accountability
- Build a culture that reflects Grain’s values: Healthy, Hearty, Honest, with a relentless focus on customer care
- Coach team members to grow into strong hospitality professionals
Guest Experience & Brand Ambassadorship
- Set the tone for world‑class service, creating memorable, positive interactions at every guest touchpoint
- Act as the face of Grain, visible, approachable, and genuinely engaged with guests and the community
- Respond to feedback with speed, empathy, and action
Quality, Compliance & Sustainability
- Guarantee that all food is prepared fresh daily with full ingredient integrity, allergen protocols, and traceability
- Uphold sourcing standards and the brand’s commitment to no seed oils, clean cooking, and honest sourcing
- Champion sustainability in packaging, waste reduction, and recycling
Marketing & Community Activation
- Support local marketing initiatives in coordination with HQ (e.g. office catering partnerships, gym collaborations, health and wellbeing events, and new menu launches)
- Be proactive in building awareness and queues through creative local activations
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Leadership
- 3+ years managing a high‑quality, high‑volume fast‑casual or QSR restaurant in London
- Strong financial acumen with proven P&L management and cost‑control skills
- Track record of building, leading, and motivating diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills, confident on the floor with guests and staff alike
