Sales Assistant – Part Time – Oldham – 22.5 Hours
Salary: £12.75 per hour, increasing to £13.44 per hour after training completion. Pro‑rated discretionary bonus of up to £2,000 per year based on performance. Contract: 22.5 hours per week (Part time). Location: Oldham.
About the Role
As a Store Colleague at H&T, you’ll be the face of our leading business, providing a warm welcome and expert support to every customer in one of our 285+ stores. You will take the time to understand customer needs, offering tailored solutions and ensuring they leave with the best possible outcome. You don’t need experience in pawnbroking, just a genuine interest in people, a strong sense of integrity, and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide full training and support to help you build confidence and succeed in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are ever the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional approach
- Assist customers with a range of services including pawnbroking, retail sales, and financial products
- Maintain high standards of compliance and store presentation
- Work collaboratively with your team to exceed targets
- Handle transactions accurately and securely
- Multilingual skills are a bonus – highly valued but not required
Qualifications
No prior experience in pawnbroking required. Essential qualities include a genuine interest in people, a strong sense of integrity, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work as part of a team.
