Property Repairs Maintenance Surveyor

Salary: £42,000.00 – £49,000.00 Per year.

Maintenance Surveyor

This role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for investigating, identifying, diagnosing, and solving day-to-day general maintenance issues raised internally or by customers. You will own the day-to-day technical support for the local area, enabling our in-house trades delivery teams and external contractors to complete the required work on the first visit.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections as needed before, during and after repairs.
• Provide specifications, including scope of works, quantities, and budgeted costs and timescales that resolve maintenance issues.
• Ensure works are completed safely, to the required standard and specification, and to a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high-quality data within the property systems.
• Develop detailed local knowledge of customer, asset, and investment needs across the locality.
• Continuously develop personal and professional capability to keep knowledge up to date.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of technical, statutory, regulatory, legislative requirements, standards, and best practice in maintenance (including damp, mould, and Awaabs Law).
• Ability to prepare and interpret specifications, schedules of work using bespoke or National/Published Schedules of Rates/Works.
• Ability to plan, track, and forecast safe delivery of customer-focused services, works and expenditure within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Commercial acumen.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Proficient use of IT systems including Microsoft Office suite with intermediate Excel skills.
• Travel across the locality, access to a car, and a full UK driving licence.
