Care Assistant – Care Home

Overview

As a Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will support residents to enjoy each day by ensuring they receive high‑quality care and companionship. The role involves daily living assistance, following personal care plans, and providing one‑to‑one support.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living tasks.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks in line with care plans.
• Monitor and report residents’ health and well‑being to the team.
• Provide companionship and promote social interaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the care home.
• Support staff during shift handovers and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Some experience caring for older people.
• Can‑do attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Empathy and a warm‑hearted approach to care.
• Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
