Job Overview

Warwickshire County Council has an exciting new opportunity to recruit a Team Manager in the Fostering and Kinship Team on a fixed-term 2‑year contract. The successful candidate will lead Kinship Fostering Supervision and Support, including Private Fostering, and will work closely with three other Supervision and Support Team Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support staff performance, development and training.
  • Chair key meetings and uphold the National Fostering Regulations 2011.
  • Manage oversight and awareness of Private Fostering arrangements.
  • Promote multi‑disciplinary collaboration to improve outcomes for children.
  • Ensure a high‑quality fostering service by providing comprehensive support services and robust supervision to all foster carers.
  • Assist with fostering duty, allocations and team meetings.
  • Ensure team compliance with Foster Home Annual Reviews.
  • Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and protecting them from risk of harm.
  • Familiarise with and comply with the Fluency Duty – provide accurate spoken English to the public.
  • Work out‑hours and limited weekend working may be required; a prior agreement will be needed.
  • Contract is agile and flexible to meet service needs.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a professional social work qualification and be able to maintain statutory registration with Social Work England.

  • Fixed term 2‑year contract (37 hours per week).
