Summary

The Governors of Walverden Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a temporary year. The contract is 27.5 hours per week, hours to be arranged.

Responsibilities

  • Support children in their learning through high quality interaction in play and planned activities.
  • Deliver a range of activities, programmes of work and work within areas of continuous provision to meet individual children’s and small groups’ needs.
  • Build good relationships with parents to support home‑school links.
  • Be self‑motivated and manage time effectively to maximise children’s learning time.
  • Maintain a friendly, genuine child‑centred approach, calm, patient, encouraging and engaging learning.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (or other appropriate qualification).
  • Recent experience working within an Early Years setting.
  • Sound working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
  • Some knowledge or experience working with children to provide personalised learning experiences.

Desirable Qualities

  • First Aid / Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience delivering activities that support children’s learning.
