400kV Senior Authorised Person required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in The United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for electrical issues in accordance with the affected Country’s legislation and regulation.
- Delegate scopes of work for the entire team of Transmission Specialists on offshore and onshore sites.
- Manage rotaplan schedules for all Transmission Specialists and Operators on site.
- Lead improvements of instructions and site‑specific instruction improvements related to high‑voltage electrical operations.
- Implement the client Electrical Safety Rules on site, including the safe system of work.
- Advise operationally on high‑voltage electrical installations to wind turbine generators (WTG), offshore substations and both HV submarine and onshore cables.
- Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment.
- Oversee all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network.
- Coordinate MV/HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages.
- Control safety documents for the Electrical Safety Rules on site.
- Define safety procedures for electrical matters.
- Delegate tasks to Operators on sites, ensuring safe commissioning of grid connections and other equipment.
- Review the high‑voltage scope of work.
- Ensure knowledge and experience with country‑specific standards.
Requirements
- Several years of operation and commissioning experience within the field of high‑voltage electricity, offshore experience preferable.
- Appropriate electrical qualification and background related to the authorization scope.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience within onshore substation systems.
- Complete and up‑to‑date GWO courses and HUET with CA‑EBS if required by site (climbing gear person weight limit – 120 kg / 264 lb).
