Job Overview
Location: Birmingham-based HQ with remote working available and occasional office attendance.
Position type: Full‑time or part‑time (3–4 days per week).
Contract: 12 months covering maternity leave for a senior construction lawyer.
Client: An innovative, cutting‑edge business in the building and construction sector, working across residential, commercial, infrastructure, education and healthcare projects both in the UK and internationally.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead on non‑contentious construction contracts.
- Support broader areas such as commercial agreements, training, insurance and compliance.
- Strategically manage the business’s risk and ongoing contentious matters when required.
Qualifications
- At least five years post‑qualification experience (5 PQE) in construction law.
- Strong experience in leading construction contracts; knowledge of broader commercial areas is a bonus.
- Willingness to up‑skill in broader commercial practice.
