The Opportunity
A well-established MEP contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their growing team, delivering a range of critical, commercial, and healthcare projects across Essex and London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and respected contractor offering genuine long-term progression, with a clear pathway to step into a Senior Project Manager role when ready.
Role Overview
You will take responsibility for managing electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery across multiple live environments. The role requires a strong understanding of complex project delivery within critical and sensitive environments, alongside solid commercial and technical awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from inception to handover
- Oversee delivery across critical, commercial, and healthcare schemes
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and specifications
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance
- Manage procurement, variations, and project reporting
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Support commissioning and final project handover
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within MEP/building services
- Strong background working on critical, healthcare, or commercial projects (essential)
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Strong commercial awareness and contract understanding
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project demands
