An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 2–4 years’ PQE to join a well-established Employment team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, alongside corporate support and transactional work.
The successful candidate will be confident advising employer clients across a wide spectrum of employment law issues and will have experience gained within a reputable commercial, City, or specialist employment practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising employers on a full range of UK employment law matters, including:
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Discrimination and whistleblowing issues
- Redundancies and restructures
- Senior exits and settlement agreements
- Day‑to‑day HR matters
- Providing employment law support on corporate and property transactions, including:
- Employment warranties and indemnities
- TUPE advice
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment‑related documentation, including:
- Employment contracts
- Senior executive service agreements
- Settlement agreements
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to final hearing, including:
- Drafting pleadings and witness statements
- Preliminary hearings
- Judicial mediations
- Advising senior executives on complex workplace disputes, exits and settlement negotiations.
Skills & Experience
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years’ PQE in Employment Law.
Strong technical knowledge of UK employment law.
Experience advising employers and business owners.
Exposure to transactional employment support work.
Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
Strong client‑facing and commercial advisory skills.
Experience conducting advocacy at preliminary hearing level.
Experience advising senior executives.
Experience with restrictive covenant disputes.
Experience handling County Court discrimination claims.
