Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons tailored to SEMH learners
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs and behaviours
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive workshop environment
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Monitor and track student progress effectively
- Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Design Technology (e.g. woodwork, construction, product design, engineering)
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
- Experience or a keen interest in working within an SEMH setting
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
