We are seeking an exceptional finance leader to join our team as Associate Director of Financial Services – a key senior role responsible for financial control, statutory reporting, treasury and capital.

This is a unique opportunity to influence decision‑making at Executive and Board level while leading a high‑performing, forward‑thinking finance function.

Job responsibilities

About you

• You will be a CCAB‑qualified accountant with strong NHS finance experience and a passion for delivering high‑quality financial information.
• This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your career at a senior leadership level, with exposure to Executive and Board decision‑making and experience across financial control, governance, treasury and capital.
• You may already be operating at this level or looking to broaden your experience in a supportive and forward‑thinking finance team, where you will play a key role in shaping the Trust’s financial strategy and developing others.
• You will be confident working with senior stakeholders, able to influence and challenge where required, and committed to continuous improvement.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Professional Chartered Accountancy Qualification (CCAB)
• Educated to Degree level or equivalent

Experience

• Extensive senior NHS finance experience with experience of managing, motivating, and developing a team.
• Extensive involvement with statutory reporting, financial planning, forecasting and the production of robust financial information for Boards and Committees.
• Experience of developing and embedding new financial control and governance arrangements.
