Position Overview

Pupil Support Assistant at Craigroyston Primary School.

Salary and Working Hours

Salary: £26,806 – £27,032 (pro‑rated for part‑time and sessional). Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively as a member of a team within all education establishments. Support pupils with additional support needs to access education and have their care and wellbeing needs met. Provide flexible support and assistance in the day‑to‑day operation of the school, as directed by the school leadership team. Manage the support needs of children or young people, including social, emotional and behavioural needs, providing support for dysregulated behaviour.

Qualifications and Requirements

This is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Applicants must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Those who have spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check. Employment will be conditional on satisfactory pre‑employment checks.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.
