We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Real Estate team in Bristol. This role is offered on a flexible working basis and can accommodate full‑time or part‑time hours.
This opportunity would suit a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with experience supporting clients in the infrastructure and transport sector.
Your Role
This role sits within the Investment and Asset Management team, which forms part of our wider Real Estate Group. The team acts for a wide range of public and private sector clients on acquisitions, disposals, investment, development and estate management.
As a key addition to our growing team, you can expect to be:
- Supporting on a range of real estate matters for major infrastructure clients, including transactions taking place within a regulated environment.
- Working closely with our Infrastructure Planning team, to support on property aspects of transport and infrastructure projects, including implementation of compulsory purchase powers.
- Handling administrative tasks for the team, in relation to key Infrastructure and Transport clients.
- Assisting on wider investment and asset management work across the team.
- Providing all our clients with a high-quality service in accordance with the Firm’s procedures.
- Developing existing client relationships and assisting in the long-term growth and development of our Infrastructure sector and Real Estate offering nationwide.
Your Skills and Experience
You will be/have:
- An experienced paralegal or legal assistant, with a strong track record of supporting major infrastructure clients.
- Strong file management, communication, drafting skills and billing experience, and familiarity with case management systems.
- Good IT skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle a busy and varied workload.
- Excellent communication skills – high volume of interaction via the telephone; high standards of client service essential.
- A desire to learn and develop legal skills in the infrastructure and transport sector, and to understand what our clients do and how they work.
- An ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to a collaborative culture.
Your Team
We are part of one of the UK’s largest real‑estate groups, with a team of over 180 people advising on thousands of transactions across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland each year. Our infrastructure planning team advises major UK infrastructure clients on planning and property aspects of major projects.
