We’re working with a well-established local contractor that specialises in social housing maintenance, who are seeking an experienced Carpenter & Joiner to join their team. This is a great long-term opportunity to deliver high-quality repairs, refurbishments, and maintenance across domestic properties across Staines-upon-Thames.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out reactive carpentry repairs within occupied residential properties.
- Completing a range of 1st and 2nd fix carpentry tasks to a high standard.
- Hanging internal and external doors, including fitting door furniture and ironmongery.
- Installing and repairing skirting boards, architraves, and other finishing joinery.
- Repairing or replacing windows and doors, including adjustments and general maintenance.
- Carrying out lock changes and security-related carpentry works.
- Repairing or installing kitchen units, worktops, and UPVC components.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with required specifications.
- Maintaining excellent customer care, communicating politely and professionally with residents at all times.
- Using handheld devices or paperwork to record job details, updates, and completed works.
- Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)
