Role Overview and Responsibilities

At TT Electronics, we’re hiring for a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities for our interconnect solutions, including cable harnesses, connectors, and integrated systems.

Reporting to the Business Development Director – Interconnect, this role focuses on building new customer relationships and opening strategic accounts.

The successful candidate will be a results‑driven team member with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the Business Capture process.

The primary focus will be on securing brand‑new customers, platforms, and programmes within the Aerospace & Defence (A&D) sector, as well as adjacent high‑end industrial and transportation markets. Unlike momentum business managed by internal sales and programme teams, this role is dedicated to strategic customer acquisition and programme wins that expand TT’s market footprint and long‑term growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and growing the TT customer base within our Interconnect solutions.
  • Building trusted relationships with engineering, procurement, and decision‑making teams.
  • Representing TT Electronics at Trade Shows, showcasing the wider TT product and solutions portfolio.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to identify new opportunities, conducting high quality research and preparing dedicated customer presentation materials.
  • Providing prompt follow‑up and support to all customer enquiries.
  • Working cross‑functionally with the design and marketing teams to align market needs with solutions.
  • Utilising the CRM (Salesforce) and project management systems to manage your NBO pipeline and to ensure bids are managed through the gated process.
  • Negotiating commercially driven orders with a focus on margin and strategic alignment with the wider TT Group.
  • Achieving or exceeding agreed sales targets as set by the Business Development Director.
  • Analysing success of Business Development pipeline opportunities, including lessons learnt on unsuccessful opportunities with the aim of continuous improvement and sharing intelligence with the wider team.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a confident and capable sales professional who brings energy, structure, and strong technical expertise.

  • A track record in business development or sales within the Interconnect market.
  • A proactive, strategic, and well‑organised approach.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

We’re open to hybrid and remote working patterns, however; you will be required to attend our sites, primarily in the South of England, on a regular basis.
