We’re looking for ambitious trainees ready to start a career in Audit. With full AAT Level 3 study support and progression to a Level 7 Chartered Accountancy qualification, you’ll join a friendly team working with clients across manufacturing, retail, technology and professional services.
Key Details
- Wage: £22,000 a year
- Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 8:30am–5:00pm or 9:00am–5:30pm, 1 hour lunch break (37 hours 30 minutes per week)
- Start date: Thursday 3 September 2026
- Duration: 1 year 3 months

What you’ll do
Following an immersive induction programme, you will work on real client projects, supporting audit delivery and visiting client sites with the audit team. You will learn across the audit process, build client relationships, and develop technical and professional skills.

Training
Apprenticeships include specialist training time. The course is Assistant Accountant (Level 3) offered through FIRST INTUITION EAST AND NORTH LIMITED.
What you’ll learn
- Assist with the investigation and response to financial information queries
- Record and analyse financial data using the organisation’s standard tools
- Apply double‑entry bookkeeping and accounting standards to prepare financial statements
- Assist with the production of accurate financial information for accounts
- Reconcile financial data and review reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve transactional queries and errors
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
- Communicate financial information to non‑finance stakeholders
- Utilise digital skills to present key information with finance software
- Use software packages in line with cyber and data security requirements
- Communicate using varying approaches and media with awareness of social media risks
Requirements
Essential qualifications
- GCSE in any 3 subjects + English/Maths (grade 4/C)
- English Language (grade 4/C)
- Maths (grade 4/C)
- Any three A Level subjects (grade C or above)
