About the Role

As a Market Street Manager you support the Store Manager to deliver exceptional customer service, ensure market‑leading product availability on the market street, and drive performance across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and empower colleagues to always put the customer first and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Listen and respond to customer feedback and react accordingly.
  • Ensure market‑leading availability across the store.
  • Work with other store managers to lead a supportive and performance‑driven department.
  • Efficiently manage people routines, taking accountability for scheduling, absence, performance and talent conversations.
  • Deliver training to ensure the team has the capability and confidence to deliver their role.
  • Enable colleagues to work with confidence across various departments.
  • Identify and develop talent within the department.
  • Build effective relationships with other operating departments.
  • Lead colleagues to work with purpose, delivering outstanding performance against all relevant targets.
  • Take a leadership role within the store.
  • Ensure resources are planned thoroughly.

Qualifications

Whether you have experience in retail, hospitality, the service industry, travel & tourism, or any other customer‑facing role, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service is essential.

  • Experience managing a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to share knowledge, experience and best practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across all areas, while remaining flexible.
  • Adaptable to change and able to challenge effectively.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to respond effectively to customers and colleagues.
