Hourly Rate: Either £12.80, £13.06, or £13.32 (DOE)

Shifts: 2-week rotating shift pattern (Days & Nights)

Job Description

The Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components used in automotive, defence and rail applications.

• Carry out welding using MAG, MIG, TIG, FCAW and GMAW
• Interpret technical drawings and welding specifications
• Prepare materials (cutting, cleaning, bevelling, alignment)
• Monitor welding parameters to ensure quality welds
• Inspect welds and identify defects
• Follow all health & safety procedures and use PPE
• Maintain welding equipment and report faults
• Work closely with production and engineering teams

Skills & Experience

• Interest in engineering and manufacturing
• Experience or knowledge of welding processes
• Ability to read technical drawings (desirable)
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Team player with good communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime
• Knowledge of health & safety practices
• Previous automotive or rail experience (desirable)
