About the Role
As an integral part of the body restoration team, you will be responsible for full car shell restorations using donor vehicles. Working with precision and skill, you’ll engage in MIG & TIG welding, cut out and replace corrosion areas, and perform steel fabrication and sheet metal work (1‑2 mm thickness). Your role will involve panel forming, restoration, and the fitting and welding of roll cages to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform full car shell restorations using donor vehicles.
- Engage in MIG & TIG welding, cutting and replacing corrosion areas.
- Carry out steel fabrication and sheet metal work (1‑2 mm thickness).
- Panel forming, restoration, and fitting & welding of roll cages to the highest standards.
Qualifications
- Extensive hands‑on experience in automotive fabrication and welding.
- Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances.
- Strong proficiency in steel fabrication and thin‑gauge sheet‑metal work (1‑2 mm).
- Expertise in MIG & TIG welding.
- Background in rally car or competition preparation, motorsport bench welding, or restorations of donor vehicles.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to deliver a high‑quality finish.
