We are recruiting reliable and hardworking individuals to support kitchens within schools and care homes across Liverpool and the surrounding areas. You’ll be working as part of a small, friendly team, helping chefs deliver an efficient lunchtime service and ensuring meals are prepared and served smoothly for students and residents. Evidence of previous roles delivering this would be required to assess suitability to the role.
As the hours set to specific days and hours – we are looking for people to commit to this; therefore if you are a student – please only apply if you can work at least 4 days per week between 9.30am – 2.30pm.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the chef with food preparation.
- Supporting the smooth running of lunchtime service.
- Washing dishes and kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- General kitchen and catering support.
Pay
£12.71 per hour.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce) dated within the last 12 months.
- Minimum 6 months UK’s catering or kitchen experience.
- Available to work Monday to Friday.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
Food Safety
- As you will previously have worked as a catering assistant you will already hold a food safety certificate – we will support you in obtaining a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate if needed.
All potential staff will be interviewed for the role and references will be required. We do require at least 6 months of UK experience and a good understanding of how kitchens operate.
