Role Overview
The Dispatch and Maintenance Assistant role bridges logistics and facility management, ensuring goods are shipped efficiently while maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace.
General Description
As a despatch and maintenance assistant at Monolution, you will undertake a wide range of tasks, both within the workshop environment and preparing goods for delivery.
Keeping our machines running efficiently is key to our business operations. Maintaining vital fluids, ensuring the safe and timely removal of waste products and general cleanliness across a wide variety of high accuracy CNC will be a crucial daily task.
The quality of our facility directly reflects in the quality of the parts we make. Ensuring cleanliness standards are not only upheld but continually improved is of upmost importance.
In addition to this, working closely with the production team’s you will prepare, package and identify outgoing products in line with strict industry and customer standards. You will be expected to package, produce final delivery documentation and the safe loading and dispatch of our products.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop Maintenance
- Machine Maintenance: Maintain coolant, oil, antifreeze and other vital fluid levels across a wide variety of high accuracy CNC milling and turning machines.
- Routine Cleaning: Maintaining the cleanliness of CNC machines and surrounding areas.
- Waste Management: Safely, efficiently, and accurately manage machine shop waste products in line with our environmental policy.
- Hazard Prevention: Clean up spills (such as oils or solvents) immediately and ensure walkways and emergency exits remain unobstructed.
Dispatch
- Order Processing: Suitably prepare, package, and label outgoing products accurately as per internal and external requirements, both for customers and sub contacts processes.
- Documentation: Using our MRP system, produce and verify delivery notes and associated documentation.
- Transport loading: Support the team in organising, coordinating and loading finished goods onto transport to ensure customer products are safely loaded and dispatched on time.
Health & Safety
- Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines for cleaning chemicals.
- PPE: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for both dispatch duties and workshop maintenance.
Working Hours
- Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
- 1130-2000 ideally, but hours can be flexible.
